In an interview with reporter Ben Becker with Action News Jax, Partner Stuart Ratzan discussed how the gaps in safety are more than a maintenance issue, they are a liability. New reporting from Florida Department of Transportation raises serious questions about whether express lane safeguards are being upheld on I-295 and what that means for driver safety.
“People drive over them. They drive around them. They knock them over. They want to get in the other lane for all kinds of reasons,” said Ratzan. “They create an invitation for lane diving, and for years this has been a big problem and the problem has been exacerbated by a lack of maintenance.”
