The Miami-Dade Bar Association has ushered in a new era of leadership with the appointment of Stuart Weissman as its newly installed president.
As president, Weissman, a partner at Ratzan Weissman & Boldt, is placing mentorship, inclusion, and accessibility at the heart of his vision.
“The legal profession is evolving, and it’s our responsibility to guide the next generation through that evolution,” Weissman said. “Mentorship is essential, and I want young lawyers to know they’re not alone, and the Bar is here to support them every step of the way.”
Weissman emphasized his commitment to creating a more connected and supportive legal community.
“This year is about listening, showing up, and making space for every voice in our legal community,” he said. “We have 3,000 members, and I want each of them to feel seen, not just as lawyers, but as people. That means creating opportunities for professional growth, yes, but also for connection. Whether it’s a mentorship program or a family picnic, we need to remember that behind every title is a human being. We must support one another and not be afraid to enjoy the journey along the way.”
A member of the organization for years, Weissman’s leadership journey includes roles as vice president, secretary, treasurer, and president of the Miami-Dade Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
